The Animal Rights & Rescue Group is a non-profit volunteer organisation.
We rescue homeless or unwanted animals, provide them with care
and shelter until suitable homes can be found for them.
Our 'foster
carers' and volunteers
are all unpaid, monies donated is used directly to help the animals.
As there is no RSPCA shelter or branch between Coffs Harbour
and Tweed Heads, ARRG covers the entire area as well as west to
Tenterfield (The Far North Coast Region).
We urgently need to build a shelter,
to give the animals a greater chance of finding a permanent family
in a shorter timeframe and also take some of the burden off our
wonderful 'foster carers'.
The group have been operating since 1995 as a No-Kill grouphis
means no ARRG animal has been euthanased, unless due to illness
or injury where the animal could not be saved.
ARRG have saved many dogs
and cats
and have treated the ill, injured and severely abused, some who
need long term care.
We give a deserved second chance to these animals we believe
that NO animal should have to endure neglect or abuse.
