 In 1997 I had major abdominal surgery due to bowl cancer, and in 2001 I turned 60 years of age so it was pretty easy to decide on early retirement. It did not take me long to adjust to the new relaxed, stress-free lifestyle. In 2002 I took an extended world tour, however by the time I came home some 12 months later I realised I had spent far more money travelling than I should have. By May 2003 I was more than a little concerned about money matters and started to seriously look for a way to earn some extra cash online to supplement my retirement living and indeed to pay my day-to-day bills. In June 2003 with very little computer experience and zero eBay experience I registered my little 1 Person Home Business with eBay. At that time I had no idea how easy it would be make money on eBay.
My first auction was a box of my daughters wedding magazines which were 5 years old and surely no one would want these ? (I thought to myself) I was pleasantly surprised.
- The bidding started at one dollar and a person from France of all places kept frantically bidding against someone in the USA.
- The winning bid was $57 much to my astonishment and delight. I instantly became the eBay fan that I still am today.
- Within a couple of months I was making a nice little two or three hundred dollars a month profit and now some years and a lot of experience later my little 1 Person Home Business is cranking out in excess of $100K+ PA profit, and I am a certified eBay PowerSeller. If you exactly copy what I do you can very quickly start making $100 a day and if you multiply this by 365 that's an exta $36,500 plus dollars you otherwise would not have. It is not a fortune but once you achieve that goal you will move onwards and upwards like I have. There is virtually no upper limt with what you can make on eBay.
- Due to automation of many of the processes involved, and other interests I have, I put in less than 3 hours a day 3 days a week on eBay.
