What Lies Below (oil on canvas by Meaghan Louise)

My creative obsession began with an ugly bunny. A small unfortunate ceature created by my father to illustrate his stories of strange creatures that inhabit the property where  my siblings and I were raised. We were some of the last of those lucky seventies children that grew up on a diet of tank water and handknitted jumpers.

From a very young age I have been drawing,panting,writing and crafting. I do not remember a time when I was not creating something and much to my mothers dismay, a big mess to go with it.

A few years ago I gave up my career in the hospitality industry to follow my passion full time.

I now own and operate a small studio called MeaghanArt  in the gorgeous little historic township of Chiltern in Victoria's North East Region. Here I display and sell my own art and craftwork and some that has been created by other artists from the North East region.

I list some of this work here on Ebay for those who are unable to visit the studio personally and sometimes items that need a new home.

My father still tells stories of ugly bunnies and strange creatures, now to my children and I cannot help but smile as they sit mesmerised by his imaginative tales.
