A too enthusiastic hand can easily watch opal wash down the drain, literally. Bare in mind that rough opal can be quite a mystery. Half the fun of cutting it is you don't know what you are going to get. You may think you are looking at a possible gem and it turns out to be a muggy. You may think a grey nobby is just that, and you may find a gem inside. With the unpredictability of opal, it is never my intention to disappoint, or 'rip anyone off'.
