Welcome to The Porch
We are an indoor and outdoor furniture and homewares company specialising mainly
in Adirondack chairs. Adirondack chairs are a classic type of outdoor garden furniture, also known as Cape Cod or Hampton chairs. The name of the chairs comes from the regions in America where these chairs originated and gained popularity. While our passion is Adirondack Chairs we keep an eye out for other unique pieces of furniture, as well as decor items. Company History
 The Porch is run by Chris and Julie Athanasiou. It started when Chris fell in love with the Adirondack style of chair, but was unable to easily find a supplier in Australia. Much research time later, Chris had set up a collection of the chairs of differing designs.
He soon realised that the classic design and comfort of the chairs was perfect for the Australian backyard, beach and patio lifestyle, and decided to use his extensive knowledge of the product to set up his own business specialising in this style of furniture, with a range that caters for all tastes and budgets.
Chris has some 20 years experience in customer service and prides himself on doing what it takes to satisfy our customers' particular needs. It is not uncommon for Chris to be up late putting the finishing touches to orders, or doing deliveries on Sunday mornings. It's this extra effort, along with great, friendly service and excellent communication skills that sets him apart from others. Julie has a more technical background and helps Chris with other facets of the business, such as marketing and advertising. She also takes care of the kids!
Chris and Julie work from home in Kallista in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, while raising their two young children. You are welcome to come and have a look at our display, but please call to make sure we are home! Our number is 03 97552112.
