G'Day fellow e-Bayers,

I joined e-Bay back in 03/04, listed an expensive item to sell, a guitar worth over $2,500 and understood NOTHING  about the process! I put a starting bid of $1399.00 and when this was reached got terrified!! anyway, it all worked out OK in the end but I got such a fright I didn't come back to e-Bay until about a month ago. I'm having some extended time off work so that's allowed me the opportunity to come back and "dabble" with some cheaper items - much less hair raising <grin>. I've listed a few items now and have had a pretty good strike rate, I must say the "feedback" system is quite addictive, after each sale I can't wait to see what the buyer has to say - love it!

A little bit about me; I grew up on the road, Dad was a Country singer and Mum a Comedienne. My brother and sister and I all sang in our youth and my brother still sings professionally. It was a great way to grow up and I loved that we got to see this fabulous country many times in our travels. I remember sometmes when we camped on a long haul from one town to another we'd collect wood and build a huge fire, Mum would mix the dough and Dad would bury the damper, then we'd sit around staring at the bush television (campfire) and get out the guitars and sing some songs. I understand more now than I did then how special it was sitting out in the silence of the never never watching the fire and listening to voices singing in the silence of the Australian outback - they were magical times that I'll never forget.

I now live in Brisbane with my partner Alan, 3 dogs and 2 cats and think back to days on the road as if it was another lifetime, but life is good and I feel very blessed to have wonderful family and friends to enjoy the journey with.
