Hi
Thank you to my highly valued eBay friends and customers.
Your continued support and repeat business is appreciated.
After more than 20 years in a specialty business, I began trading on eBay in 2004.
Since my first days on eBay there have been many changes; with your continued support I will be here for many years to come. Due to eBay's recent policy changes, most of my items have been withdrawn from eBay but still available on eBay by request. See the full range on my site.
I am dedicated to providing excellent service. Before you deal with a seller, read the feedback they have received.
Your email enquiries are important. I answer as soon as possible every day, please be patient.
On 13th June 2008 the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a draft notice proposing to revoke eBay's submission (11th April 2008) re eBay.com.au proposing a PayPal only policy which removes the buyers' choice of payment methods for nearly all transactions. Given the ACCC's notice, eBay announced it would delay implementing the new policy (stage 2). Stage 2 has since been abandoned. eBay has implemented other new policies which continue to cause many problems on the site. I'll continue to asses my position as eBay changes direction.
eBay never ask for private information via email.
Don't click on email links requesting passwords.
eBay emails should also be in your "My Messages".
The My Messages tab is located in a few places including My eBay.

Friendly communication is a powerful tool and greatly appreciated. To avoid a misunderstanding, read terms of sale and ask questions before bidding.
eBay's Security Centre Misrepresents Bank Deposits and PayPal:
By paying with online banking or bank deposits over the counter, I can't see your private financial details, nor should I need to. In point of fact, PayPal can't ensure your bank details are safer in their hands than if you don't share your bank details at all.
I disagree with eBay heavily promoting PayPal as being safe. PayPal keeps your private financial details on record. PayPal accounts reportedly do get hijacked. If a crook gains access to your PayPal account, they have access to your funds and any linked accounts. Not all PayPal payments are eligible for buyer/seller protection (as outlined in the PayPal user agreement). PayPal payments are not always instant as claimed, eg. PayPal eCheques generally take 4 to 10 days to clear but on occasion take up to 3 weeks.
An eCheque is PayPal's alternative to Australia's direct deposit / online banking.
(Without PayPal's involvement, Australian direct deposits normally process in 24 to 48hrs).
Be aware any seller accepting PayPal must ship to your PayPal address (not your eBay address).
Sending items by regular post doesn't comply with PayPal policies thus my listings don't offer PayPal.
I also note PayPal errors can be costly.
Missing Emails / eBay bugs:
If you have not received my email reply, check your email junk folder, eBay's "My Messages", or call.
eBay's site occasionally doesn't work as it should, it can be frustrating for everyone.
Please contact me if you have difficulty purchasing my items.
A few common questions / answers:
Q: Why is a payment reference/description important?
A: So I know it is your payment and I can post your parcel as soon as possible. A payment reference of "COIN HOLDER" or "WAHL" or "ebay" could belong to anyone. By emailing me your payment amount and reference (description) I can locate your payment and despatch all parcels faster.
Please use your (bidder) eBay ID when possible (or a unique number, not the item number). Without knowing your payment details, I must wait till payments fully process before I can despatch parcels. Sending payment notification without payment will slow down the process.
Did you know... with multiple item listings each buyer has the same item number.
Q: What is combined shipping?
A: Let me know in advance, and I will pack your items into one parcel or satchel when possible. This means you only pay for one (parcel/satchel) delivery. Combined shipping is based on weight and priced by request. Your postcode is required for pricing of insured registered post.
Q: What do you mean "securely packed" ?
A: Your parcel is important to me. I want your item to arrive safely without damage so I take the extra time and care needed.
As vegemite-grin's feedback said: Quick postage and EXTREME packaging! Not a chance in hell it would break lol. A+
Q: Why are buyers/bidders shown as "User ID kept private", "Bidder 1", "Bidder 2" ?
A: It is no different from any other transaction other than offering a bit of privacy which is appreciated by some folks. If you are not a seller, you can set your own feedback to "private" so no one can see what you have purchased. This should not be confused with eBay's new policy (21 February 2008) of replacing bidder IDs with Bidder 1, Bidder 2, etc. Read eBay's announcement Further enhancements to combat online fraud.
Q: Who is responsible for missing parcels?
A: Australia Post. I do my best to ensure Australia Post resolves any issue.
- If your parcel has been tampered with, REPORT IT before accepting.
- Parcels are shipped to the address provided by eBay at end of auction.
- Slow delivery? Please check at your local Post Office before being concerned.
You may not always receive a card in your letter box.
- Registered post with insurance recommended and priced by request.
Australia Post's Delivery Tracking Service is useful but slow to update.
(Express and regular parcels are not insured)
Note: If you change your mailing address on eBay after end of auction, I won't know unless you tell me.
Q: What is ?
A: Buy It Now means you can purchase at a fixed price (plus shipping) now. Some listings may have two prices, "Place a bid now" and "Buy It Now". If you place a bid, the Buy It Now price will no longer be available and the auction will run its full duration. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder will be required to complete the transaction.
Postage paid on registered parcels is more than the displayed amount
A registered and insured boxed parcel costs more than the face value of the stamp. The stamp value is only for the parcel post component. Any additional insurance is paid for then recorded separately on the postal form. The Registered post component (and packaging like Tough Bags) are prepaid to speed up processing.
International Shipping (by prior arrangement):
As of this writing, USD $9.20 converts to approximately AUD $10.00.
See eBay's currency converter.
All International parcels must be insured; the cost is included in shipping prices. As of 3rd March 2008, Australia Post minimum insurance charge AUD $8.10 for up to $100 cover, then $2.15 for every additional $100 cover.
Airmail is the best value for money from Australia Post.
Insured Express Courier International is faster and provides online tracking. Also see other International Tracking.
Insured Airmail is not accepted by all destinations (such as the Middle East and Canada). Parcels to such destinations will be shipped via Insured Express Courier International which is expensive, minimum charge AUD $55.00 for 500gms including $100 Insurance.
Pipe Shipping Internationally:
Shipping is based on weight and I prefer to pack your parcel securely for a safe journey.
* An example of AUD $24.00 charge to USA:
$14.35 :Airmail up to 500gm
$08.10 :Insurance - up to $100. ( Extra Insurance $2.10 per $100 )
$01.55 :P&H
I was very honoured by "unclecuster" who wrote in feedback for his Kinsale XL12 and 306 System pipes:

GR8 PIPE CONSULTANT! V. HONEST! Fast delivery! Best pipes avail on world ebay!
Contrary to ( "mick430" now known as "aardvark_f111" ) a Non Payer's opinion, Australia's Express Post Platinum exists.
It provides proof of postage and online tracking which complies with PayPal protection policies.
Unless stated otherwise in auctions (or by arrangement), I use regular Express Post and no longer accept PayPal in Australia.
What is Express Post Platinum?
It does differ from the regular Express Post and does cost more.
