The first eBay transactions are always the sweetest… in fact for most new ebayers, (buyers and sellers alike) everything runs with an effortless ease. Sadly, the honeymoon cannot last forever. For each bad eBay experience, be it something seemingly insignificant - like an ignored message, cleverly written descriptions, ridiculous requests, re negotiations post auction…. or even the ultimate dissapointment for genuine buyers and sellers… items going MIA (“lost in the post“), leave the once obliviously happy ebayer feeling more and more like a sucker. At this point the camels back tends to break, and your attitude changes… for sellers the casual and friendly tone of listings morph into a list of harsh ‘will and will not dos’ generally finishing with words to the effect of “…and if you don’t like it, the doors thatta way…” while buyers think of bidding as more of a risk for every Personally I have seen this pattern before, many many times on my wanderings through different sites and I think I may have a solution to eBay - angst...


And I like to call it the KEEPIN’ IT REAL EBAY APPEAL the anonymity the online world provides unfortunately allows some people to behave badly… in a way they would even never consider acting in a face to face situation. Therefore my theory is simple… to act online as you would in person. Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. Use common courtesy and good manners. Im a friendly, fair and reasonable ebayer, and a genuinely caring and good natured person, who enjoys ebaying with all that share similar traits. (trust me, its nice to be nice!)
