Please check your measurements.

I take measurements on the back of the garment while it is lying flat naturally on a smooth surface (no stretching). 

For a top or dress, I usually measure across underarms from left to right (from the seam under one armpit to the seam under the other).  For the waist, I take the smallest section in the waist area and measure from left to right.

For the length of dress or tops/tees, I normally measure the length from underarm to hem on the side, following the seam-line.  

For measuring skirts/shorts/pants, I lay it down flat and measure the waist (or hip for hipster stuff) from left to right.  The length is measured by following the side seam of the skirts/shorts/pants.

For measuring mens shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve), length is taken from the very top of the collar down to the hem. Sleeve length is measured from the end of the shoulder seam right down to the end of the sleeve.

How do I know if the measurements will fit me?

I recommend taking a similar clothing that you currently have (and it fits you), and take measurements of that in the same way as I have. If the measurements are relatively similar, then the clothes on auction should fit you.
