Our combined formal qualifications are: Art Certificate, Bachelors Degree in Visual Art, Diploma of Applied Art, Post Graduate Diploma of Visual Art, Diploma of Education, Diploma of IT, Small Business Certificate. Our previous art related employment includes: Secondary School Art & Computer Studies Teacher for the NSW Dept of Education, Artist In Residence and Private Art Tutor for community center, Art Teacher for a mobile childrens resourse unit. We are currently self employed creating fine art prints, art resourses for digital artists, web design & construction and original graphics. Our services are for hire. By combining classic, professional, fine-art training in painting & print making with revolutionary digital image creating techniques and leading edge technology to produce the highest standard in original creative fine art prints, Di & Bob Mathews offer high quality, original, fine art prints at affordable prices. Our art is original work which was created digitally, through either virtual painting with an electronic drawing tablet, or sculpting directly with a computer. The process of creating an art image digitally restricts the presentation of the artwork to printed form, so it is not possible to have any other physical representation. These prints are the artwork’s original physical form, NOT reproductions. So like the more traditional forms of art printing media such as woodcuts, etchings and lithographs or photography. The only logical way of producing digital art work is through printed editions. Multiple copies will be for sale directly from the artist studio only. The resulting prints use high quality 'artist materials' so that the physical art work reflects the skills of the human artist rather than the restrictions of digital media. The material quality of the finished print closely resembles the more traditional art medias. Occasionally we may sell an original artwork in a different media such as a graphite drawing or other small sketches. Each of our images advertised will state the media and paper used. All of our artworks are posted flat (not rolled or folded) and care is taken to avoid postal damage. Our 'A3' sized prints are layed between clean white paper, then thin white pasteboard is placed on both sides, they are then enclosed in double-thickness corregated cardboard packaging to protect them in the postal system. Smaller images are placed in a plastic sleeve then between cardboard for protection. We post within 24-48hrs of payment clearance. Each artworks is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and includes an artist statement and information about the image. All Australian sales of artwork include GST and will have accompanying tax invoice. Our eBay uploads are expanding, currently with new additions each week. Our topics are nature, insects, birds, frogs, mandala, nudes, flowers, and more... We also accept commissions to create original imagery for clients.
