Hello there! My name is Epod !
Ooooopies!!!! I left the piccies from this page on an old hosting space which deleted them...hopefully I have them saved somewhere so I can put them back...so for now, I will leave my page looking rather yickky with all the red crosses...but hopefully I will fix it soon!!!
Trading Safely on eBay is very important to me. To read my guide to Trading Safely, please click here.
Have you ever wondered what it takes epodcentral to complete a successful eBay transaction? The pictures below should explain it all :)
First of all, be assured that we answer all your emails promptly and spend hours and hours every week sourcing and listing fabulous items!
Ever wondered what 200 metres of bubblewrap looks like? Wonder no more my friends!
Your items are packed with the greatest of care, and are "Australia-Post-Proofed" with plenty of sticky tape, cardboard and/or bubblewrap. This ensures that they get to you safely! (and also many hours of fun for you unwrapping said item when it is recieved)
Your items are packed and posted promptly after payment has been recieved :)
Some more about me...
Well, as I said, my name is Epod :)
I'm from Rockhampton, QLD, Australia and love buying and selling lots of cool and unusual items on Ebay. As you can see by my feedback I have had thousands of successful transactions and love to keep people happy with fast, hassle free transactions :)
I love eBay, toys, Henry Rollins, Groove Terminator, Conan O Brien, 80s films, standup comedy, music, designing websites, chocolate, walking around aimlessly...oh...and Elmo - amongst other things, most of which can be found at my website, epodcentral.com.au
I have had the honour of working with the amazing team at eBay Australia - which was quite possibly the best job in the ENTIRE universe!!! I am now looking at devoting my time to selling full time on eBay!
Yes, I am happy to combine shipping if you are interested in more than one of my items :)
I believe that my large number of successful transactions are due to my belief in the eBay community values, which are:
*We believe people are basically good.
* We believe everyone has something to contribute.
* We believe that an honest, open environment can bring out the best in people.
* We recognise and respect everyone as a unique individual.
* We encourage you to treat others the way that you want to be treated.
Yes, I admit I had a bit of a smirk when I first read them thinking they couldn't possibly be correct - *but* they have certainly proven to be true in most of my eBay experiences :)
My first purchase on eBay was the whale from Big Brother Series one. Everyone thought I was mad buying it...but...well...er the money went to a good cause so all is good and well in the world again...
I since have gone on to buy such cool items such as a lifesized cardboard cut out of Steve Irwin!
My first sale was a John Farnham book, which I thought would surely sell to someone in Australia. However, I was quickly introduced to the world of international trading when someone from the USA went on to be the winning bidder of said book!
Note at this point I had no selling feedback, so the people who bought from me way back then, certainly believed in eBay's community values! It was so amazing to me that someone on the other side of the world could send payment to me - someone who they had never met - let alone someone going by the name of Epod ! ;)
When I started on eBay I had absolutely no idea of its potential, but now I know that it is an amazing place, which has given me so many opportunities :)
I spend a lot of time on the eBay chatboards helping/hindering. Although the boards can get a little nasty sometimes, they are still a great place to learn more about eBay, and to find out about eBay's latest glitches and bugs.
I REALLY look after people who buy stuff from me! You can expect your item/s to be sent out on the same or next business day that I recieve payment, no messing about, no overcharging for postage either!
I also take a lot of care in describing my items, so what you get is exactly what was described. Items are also packed well to avoid damage. If there's ever any problems, I am only an email away and I usually answer emails on the same day that they are sent to me.
Also if there is anything in particular that you are after that I don't have on auction at the moment, I have a "wants" list, simply email me and I will keep an eye out for whatever it is for you ! If I find it, I will list it for you!
Some helpful eBay links
Trading safely on eBay - please dont go buying that plasma tv/high $$ electronic equipment etc before you read this! :)
Account theft - Got an email that looks like it is from eBay asking you to update your details? eBay DO NOT ask for your password, credit card number etc via email. Read this to find out how to keep your account safe. If your account has been taken over, there is also a live help link (under reporting account theft). If you have recieved an email trying to get your details, forward it to spoof@ebay.com (do not change any details, or add any text, just forward it - eBay will then shut the fake site down)
Why was your item removed from the eBay site? - A VERO member can ask for any listing to be removed from the eBay site. This page makes for very interesting reading, even if you havent had an item removed.
Prohibited and Restricted items - Stuff that you should not list on eBay ;)
Need live help? - Go to the ebay.com site, and its located there - right on the front page. Note that this service doesnt really support Australia as such, but is helpful *sometimes*. For example, if you have spotted an account takeover, let them know and they will deal with it asap!
Want to give your buyer/seller a call? - Request their contact information here!
eBay broken? - Ooooher I hope YOU didn't break it. Read the System Announcement board here, but keep in mind it is mainly pertaining to the US eBay as AU eBay isnt as eager to resolve/fix bugs quickly. Best thing to do if you are in Australia and somethings broken, wander into the chatboards and you are sure to find someone else whinging about the same thing ;)
General Announcements US board - This one is again, for the US site, but it can give an idea of what cool (or not so cool) features are on the way to eBay AU. Most stuff on this board gets to Australia a month or so after it has been launched in the US. There is an eBay Australia General Announcements board, which isn't as good as the US one, but you can check it out here.
Want to contact eBay General support or eBay Trust and safety? - This is the place to get your cut and paste answer from eBay support...
Some nice places to visit...
Explodingdog.com - no exploding dogs as such, just some great artwork :)
Tangawarra - Doug Anthony Allstars, Tripod and many more of my favourite comedians!
Hoogerbrugge - modern living - amazing stuff :)
Jigzone.com - Heaps of online jigsaws!
