A BIG THANK YOU to all my customers who have supported my ebay business through out these few years. It has now come to a point where I have to stop trading on ebay because it is simply not a profitable business as I had hoped it to be when I first started in 2005. As my loyal customers would attest, I only sell the best quality beads by Swarovski AG, these even when bought at wholesale prices were still very dear. Swarovski continue to increase their prices every year by 3% and so does ebay.
Unfortunately, in the past 1 year and even during this X-mas season, customers have been paying for these beads below market price, the lowest ever on the internet. For vendors that sell imitations that flood the market with their products, they of course would not go out of business, but for a retailer of the genuine Swarovski product like myself, I simply cannot continue to make losses simply just for the sake of trading on ebay and to remain competitive with the other more resilient vendors.
Alas, it is time for me to pull out of ebay. Despite having invested a huge sum of my savings into this business and losing about 50% of it at the end, I feel it is irresponsible to continue to dispose my stocks on ebay. I will seek other more viable forums to dispose of these stocks, probably my own website thats currently under construction. You can find the link below.
