Gary's photographic prints (Ilfochrome Classic, or 'Superchromes'), produced by master printers in Adelaide, South Australia, are carefully considered and executed examples of his thorough understanding of the interface between human, camera and subject. Gary's methodology closely follows that employed by the late Tasmanian photographer Peter Dombrovskis (1945-1996), and his use of perspective control lenses mimics the movements available in the large 6x4.5 format utilised by Dombrovskis. Gary uses a Canon EOS 1N and EOS 5 for production work and a Canon G9 compact digital for scene evaluation and shots on-the-fly. Lenses are of Canon's L-series and filmstock is Fuji Velvia 50 (RVP50), with occasional use of Provia 100F (RDP-III) for contrast-challenged scenes, sometimes reverting to managing exposure with a Sekonic L758D multispot lightmeter.  Apart from photography, Gary is also in demand for website construction and administration, managing several long-term clients. A qualified typesetter, he also designs and produces brochures, newsletters, flyers and other printed materials for private and professional clients.
