Master Luthier Phil Haworth owns and operates the business and began making guitars for the past 20 years. While making guitars, and teaching, it has only been in the past 6 years has he given up his full-time job as a high school industrial arts teacher. Working from his garage at home, Phil would make and repair all types of stringed instruments, but found there was more opportunity in selling other brands of guitars and instruments. With an established customer base Phil saw more room for improvement and has expanded the business into a retail store. In 2002, the next door shop was acquired, and Haworth Guitars expanded to include an amp room, acoustic room, and further storage. The front of the shop is operated by Mark Thornton Music Tuition, with 5 separate studios for music instruction. Furthermore, Shellharbour Music Centre was bought in February 2005 and is managed by Deanna, Phil's daughter.

The company now has 5 full time employees and has been trading on eBay since 2000.

Our trading hours at Kiama Downs are Monday-Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday 9:30am to 5pm and closed Sundays Ph: (02)42378144 or 1300 55 8144.

We have also recently started trading at our second store, Shellharbour Music Centre which is at 2-4 Beverley Ave, Warilla. This is just off George Street with plenty of parking.
