The Real Me

Billygoat Books started back in May 2008 after cleaning out our garage of boxes and boxes of business, wealth creation and investment books, tapes and manuals that my husband and I had collected over many years. Although we had read, heard and used them all, we found them hard to unpack that one last time, after moving to country Tasmania from Sydney.
Wanting to try new things I branched into animal collectables and homewares with the original name being The Animal Obsession Store and more... I recently changed it to Billygoat Books realising that books were my passion.
After clearing all those books out I started collecting again and now sell books across many genres. Self-Help, New-Age, Business, Property, Wealth Creation, Investing, Health and Fitness, family and Relationships and much more. I also still carry a range of animal collectables and my own range of jewellery.
I take great pride in my business. It is my aim to always provide excellent service. This means friendly communication, fast and efficient shipping and good quality products at great prices!
I have extensive experience in business having run several of my own businesses over a 20 year period ranging from food to fashion to art and now books! I live in a small country town in southern Tasmania so books are the ideal item to send through the mail and it gives me an endless supply of great books to read!

 
Me when I'm feeling a bit strange!

My original training was in Art, so I still like making things when I get the chance. At the moment I particularly like mosaic, (we have renovated our house so I am in the process of putting mosaic on everything I can!) and knitting (which is great in winter as it's cold down here and not only does the act of knitting keep me warm but so does the product!)  My other passion is our extensive organic vegetable garden which gives us an endless supply of healthy, yummy food.
I collect old garden forks (weird!), ceramic tiles and old china (for mosaics), and old car rego plates and metal signs (to hang on the laundy and toilet walls). I love my daughter, my husband and our two cats (who drive me mad at times...the cats that is!)
