I don know if there anything quite as inspiring for a drummer than playing a vintage kit! Is it the sound, the look, the history, the feel? It hard to explain. It probably a combination of all these things, but you definitely know it when you experience it!!

Ie been an enthusiast of vintage drums ever since I started playing. I started restoring drums for myself after realising that there was a lack of real passion and sympathy for these instruments in a lot of vintage drum shops. So much time, care and hard work must be spent on a restoration that many shops simply can sustain those overheads.

Vintage drums have been played for literally decades. Thousands of people will have heard them. Theye contributed an enormous amount of enjoyment to their communities. The driving force behind what I do is the absolute passion and love for vintage drums and making sure they are played and enjoyed for years to come. They and the people who crafted them deserve respect and a future!!.

For me there nothing more satisfying than seeing the final result of hours of painstaking work. To see a once tired, neglected drum kit rejuvenated and in the hands of a drummer who going to play it for many years to come gives me an enormous sense of satisfaction.
