My name is Maryann (also known as Marion ) I am a stay at home mum with 3 children, 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 pony and last but not least, 1 husband. He really is a great help as he is in charge of my priming and occassionally, constuctive critisizm! We all live on a 5 acre property which is still a work in progress, so I always have plenty to do!
I love gardening and spring, collecting pretty china, pink and green depression glass and decorating my home in the shabby chic style. It's still getting there and I have many projects of my own waiting in the "to do basket". One day......
I sew most of my own soft furnishings and not long ago thought I'd offer some on ebay. I love selling on ebay and have met some wonderful and talented people, customers and sellers alike.
I mostly like to use Rachel Ashwell fabric , even though they are more costly to work with, but the end result is always worth it. I also like to use fabric by Laura Ashley, House inc. Mary Rose, chenilles and any other pretty roses fabrics or trims.
My passion though is vintage lamps! I just love making them over into something beautiful again. I also enjoy making pretty cushions, totes, quilts, mittens, lavender sachets and other pretties to suit a shabby chic, country, romantic, vintage style home.
I take great pride in my work and would never offer anything on ebay that I would not be happy to purchase myself. I always replace the lining on a shade if it needs it and my bases are always etch primed. My cushions are always lined (where needed) and seams overlocked. Occasionally I will also share vintage finds with you that I might come across. All my items come from a smoke free and pet free home, even though whiskas always tries her luck and really tries my patience!! lol !
