I have worked in the Information Technology area since 1987. I started as a trainee computer operator and quickly moved into technical support. Initially working on mainframes and then desktops, I progressed to Novell and Windows networks. My most recent roles in IT have been in the area of Server Mangement including server builds, maintenance and troubleshooting.

I finished full time work at the end of 2004 and now work from home so that I can spend more time with my family and less time driving to and from work (45 minutes each way from here to the Perth CBD)! It is refreshing to have real customers that I can talk to again instead of being insulated from clients through the help desk!
