 Ebay is full of web copied plans for sale all of which must be lofted to full size by you. The worst part is even if you manage to loft them properly who gurantees they will work or align (sheer lines, chine , deck crowns??) Out of at least 100 plans I have lofted only 3 have been correct!

Why wooden boat plans? As an avid boating enthusiast for many years I was forced off the water and most activities by chronic back pain...for those that have suffered like me, you'll know most normal activities are no longer possible. While building my first wooden boat I ran into the standard problems we all do which was poor plans and wrong offsets...the project was scrapped and I had to stop working full time. Not satisfied with the way plans were presented or even copied I set out to make my own plans via a CAD system, this I could work with , providing 1 plan per part with dimensions! For those that know about normal plans, they are a bunch of numbers that refer to the outside face of the boat along a centreline and base line..this has unchanged for at least 100 years! I showed my first plans to some friends and then converted their cherished plans for them also.
