Auction Terms and Conditions
Q: I'm a trusted member of eBay in good
standing, so why must my bid be verified?
A: The
verification process is in place to verify that a bidder can be contacted if
they are the successful bidder and that they genuinely intend to pay for the
item on offer. Just as importantly, the process protects all bidders against
inflated, non-genuine bids. Without this simple process in place, charities are
open to inflated bidding and inevitably lose money. Put simply, the verification
process is in place to protect the charity from inflated, non-genuine
bidding. |
The verification process - 3 easy
steps!
1. Immediately before or after placing your bid
please visit www.goinggone.com.au/verify and
enter your information.
2. A member of the GoingGone team will be in
touch via telephone to verify the details you have supplied.
3. Once
verified, you can bid on the auction as many times as you like!
|
Please read these simple Terms &
Conditions before placing your bid. By placing a bid, you agree to and accept
the following:
1. Bids not completed
in accordance with the terms and conditions will be ineligible.
2. If
your details cannot be verified by GoingGone then your bid may be cancelled and
you may be blocked from bidding again on the auction.
3. Going Gone
reserves the right to block a bidder, refuse to accept any bid or cancel or
withdraw a bid for any reason including feedback rating, non-paying bidder
strikes, bid retraction history or recent bid history.
4. A member of
the GoingGone team will be in touch to verify the details you have supplied and,
as an added measure of verification, we may ask for your credit card details in
order to place a pre-authorisation on your credit card for A$100.
5.
If you are the winning bidder and fail to complete the transaction for any
reason your credit card may be charged the A$100 - this is not refundable.
6. Remember, your bid is a legally binding offer to buy the item for
auction at any price up to your maximum bid amount. If your bid is accepted by
the seller, you are legally obligated to pay. Not paying may cause the seller to
seek legal action. For details, check out eBay's User Agreement.
7.
In the event that the winning bidder is unable to fulfil the obligations
contained in these terms and conditions the item will be offered to the next
highest paying bidder.
8. The winning bidder must make contact with
GoingGone within three (3) working days to organise payment for the auction
item.
9. Payment will be accepted by PayPal, Direct Bank Deposit,
Cheque and Money Order in Australian dollars.
10. Payment for this
item is non-refundable.
11. Winning bidder to pay
shipping. |
