Being a hobbyist and experimenter for more than 30 years, I started selling parts as RFPlus on Ebay in 2005 and have done so, on & off ever since.
Initially it was an attempt to reduce the boxloads of bits I'd accumulated to a more manageable collection, as well as free up some dollars to reinvest in my hobby. In that regard I cannot claim total success, as I'd swear there are now more bits than ever before and sometimes I seem to spend more time Ebaying than I do soldering. On the other hand I've had a great time meeting folks up here and 'enabling' the hobby by supplying others with the bits they need (including to many who never knew they needed them!). It's always great to hear about your projects!
However, because I've sold quite a few parts, Ebay now insists I should act as a Business Seller, and must display my address prominently, so here 'tis:
Coombe Cottage
Tregoad Hill
St. Martin-by-Looe
Cornwall
PL13 1PB
United Kingdom
The parts I offer are surplus from my own hobby projects and were bought in a larger quantity than needed to get a good price. Many I have more of, some are one offs or in very limited quantity and may only appear once or twice. Many are now obsolete and hard to find. You

Depending upon where you are, you might be able to source parts cheaper locally, so please shop around. However, given the competitive shipping rates I offer worldwide (unlike many vendors, I don't charge for 'handling') it'll likely cost more to drive to your local store and back so please bear this in mind when comparing.
RFPlus is obviously not a professional operation, but I do try to give all my customers a good deal and I'm happy to be judged on my
feedback.
Many thanks to all of you who left such kind comments, and please don't hesitate to let me know where I might do better in future (though preferably in email rather than feedback)!
General Information
I am happy to work out the lowest cost for postage, but I have not yet managed to get Ebay to calculate this correctly, especially for a selection of different items. If you are not happy with the Ebay calculated amount, please request an invoice via the checkout process rather than paying straight away. If you have already paid then it is hard to make small refunds.
I don't charge for my effort in shipping & handling, so the postage & packing costs are exactly that. Add together cost of stamp, envelope, wrap, tape etc. and it'll be the same (or higher) than my P&P charge ... subject to the caveat above re. Ebay calculation.
I try to be worthy of 5/5 performance in each of the Ebay detailed feedback categories. If you feel I didn't deserve this in your case, please drop me a note via Ebay messages or email me at:
I will always welcome such feedback and likely reward it with bonus bits or partial refund.
Parts are generally "new, old stock" unless otherwise stated. They are sold 'as is' but all have been well stored and handled. If there's a problem, I'll try to send a replacement or refund, your choice, so buy with confidence.
All information contained in the listing is correct to the best of my knowledge - but that doesn't make it true. I can't always amend active listings but will always try to incorporate corrections in future listings. If a part isn't exactly what you were expecting or are prepared to accept then just let me know and we'll sort it out.
Unless specified, all photographs are taken by myself of the actual parts on offer, or those from the same box/batch.
As a small private seller I'm not yet required to register for VAT or GST, so there are no extra taxes to add.
Generally I will post to Australian destinations using the Australia Post Large Letter (2 business days) service. For overseas destinations the Airmail letter (4-5 working days) service is usually sufficient. If you would like another service (faster and/or trackable) at your cost, then let me know.
Whilst I'd like to be able to guarantee speedy delivery, once the packages are posted I am reliant upon Australia Post. Usually they'll arrive within a day or so (longer overseas), but please be patient, as especially around holiday times post can take a week or two. If your parcel hasn't arrived in a
timely manner then please get in touch and I will try and find out what happened.
Payment via Paypal is probably most convenient for the majority of folks. For UK customers or Australian customers, payment may be made via direct deposit into my bank account, and cheques/postal orders are usually OK by prior arrangement (though I will wait for funds to clear before posting).
I do not have a printer, so will not enclose any printed documentation. If you need this, please print out the Ebay and/or PayPal pages from your own machine.
Sometimes I will use recycled packaging to reduce cost, while ensuring robust transport. I always appreciate suggestions for improvements and prompt notification of any problems in this area via messages or email.
Positive feedback is valued and I try to do my utmost to deserve yours. Please leave feedback when you receive an item and I'll know it arrived safely.
