This holds true for both Domestic and International orders (And in regards to International orders, even shipping for a single item may need to be confirmed prior to payment...the cost of the item does NOT include shipping costs which are a seperate cost that needs to be added, please do not guess the amount)

While Australia Post postal satchels offer a cheaper alternative, sometimes due to weight/size restrictions, Parcel Post may be required and is typically a more expensive option, so will need to be calculated on a per order basis. A 500g satchel will typically fit 2 standard paperback novels but is limited to a weight of 450g (due to protective material) and a 3kg satchel may be able to handle 6 standard paperback novels...but perhaps only 2 trade paperbacks. As stated, we will need to confirm.
If you are located in Sydney (Australia) then you are entitled to cheap Parcel Post with the following option available for parcels up to 15kg (Yes, Australia Post allows for 20kg but we need to carry it to the Post Office and have to consider Health & Safety issues)

NOTE: While weight is an issue when determining postal costs, Australia Post bases the cost not only on ACTUAL weight but also factors in CUBIC weight which is based on the dimensions of the parcel. Which ever is the greater is the end weight used by Australia Post in determing what the final charge is. We will do our best to keep weights down on both, but will not do so by increasing the risk of your order being damaged during transit.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: While sea mail may be an option for many destinations, it can take 3 months so we will always provide quotes for Air Mail as the default option and you will need to ask for sea mail should such be available to your location. Even air mail may take 1-2 weeks depending on the postal service and both run the risk of further delays due to Customs upon entering your country (*Customs Duty may be payable on your order upon entry to your country and you will be required to pay any taxes/duty that may apply) and you should ensure you understand your import laws as you are the individual that the Taxman will hold accountable...and the Lawman wont be too happy either if you import a prohibited item (Best case scenario is you will lose the item...worst case scenario will depend on the penalties your country levies against a breach of your countries import laws)
All International Parcel Orders include a Custom's declaration form as required by law which states the value of the contents.
