HI!
I'm Caroline, from Spinning Down Under. I am a self-confessed fibre junkie. I also love bargains, crafts, and reading, so Ebay allows me indulge my passions. I am a passionate spinner, and now sell my own range of spindles: many of these are reconstructed items - made from new materials that started out life as something else, or made for another purpose. This form of recycling enables me to offer my spindles at a realistic price, and as I also use my own spindles, you can be assured that they work!
You will find these drop spindles and spinning accessories in my shop, and sometimes, when I've found some, specials on spinning fibres.
Please check out my book section and grab yourself a bargain. I stock new as well as recycled books, and prefer to stock books high in content, rather than because they are glossy and fashionable.
Please, enjoy Ebay, and meet some lovely people!
My favourite web site, and one that I love to share with other crafters, is the University of Arizona Weaving Archives . The web address is below. Despite its name it covers many different fibre-related crafts, and is full of wonderful old out of copy write and out of print (in many cases otherwise unobtainable) books, magazines, patterns, and articles. It is updated regularly. And best of all it is FREE to download!! Happy browsing! http://www.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/weaving/weavedocs.html
If you are having trouble downloading and still have a dial-up internet connection, check it out at http://www.iapselfhelp.com/customer/index.cfm Its an Australian Government site to help optimise your connection.
I have also listed some other excellent sites below, packed full of craft info: check back regularly to see what is listed, as I vary the links when I find a new and exciting site.
