Don't know about you however we're always keen to check out other eBayers who've taken the plunge to construct an "About Me" page...
With that in mind we'd like to warmly welcome you to OUR 'About Me' page!
So... Who are we?
We are a family owned business with a sewing & fabric retail store located in Burnie, on the (not so warm & sunny!!) North West Coast of Tasmania, Australia.
Wee been in the industry for longer than memory serves(must be at least 40 years!)
Our dedicated team consists of:
Ann: Mother of 4 & 'Big' Chief!!
Tressna: Daughter #2 & 'eBay' Chief!!
Peta: Daughter #3 & 'Sales, Marketing & Merchandising' Chief!!
What do we sell?
Pretty much anything to do with fabric, sewing & associated accessories.
We have a shop full of stock including a massive range of fabrics, haberdashery, braids, ribbons, laces, buttons, elastic, thread, patterns, zips, fabric embellishments, gift items, napery, beach towels, upholstery fabric, craft panels, cot panels, sewing machine parts & accessorieshe list goes on and on!! If there is anything in particular you are after, we will do our best to supply and/or source it for you.
You may also catch the odd item or two from our ome collectionwhich basically covers any other item that's not from the shop :-)
About our products:
We stock only the best quality products we can get our hands on. All of our items listed on eBay are completely brand new and flawless unless otherwise stated. All of our products are sourced from the most reputable manufacturers & suppliers available to us and as such we stand 100% behind everything we sell.
You will be hard pressed to find better quality!
We take great care to ensure that every one of our item listings is as accurate as possible. In particular, we place a big emphasis on the quality and colour accuracy of our photos (especially fabric), however please be aware that there may be a slight colour variation between your computer monitor and ours.
Postage:
We do not believe in making a profit from postage or any other medium and as such you will only be charged for Australia Post costs plus packaging, registration & insurance (where applicable and/or requested). This also means that we DO NOT, WILL NOT, NEVER HAVE and NEVER WILL charge a "handling", "sighting", "currency conversion", "GST", "Paypal" or "whatever else we can make money from" fee.
We will always try to source the cheapest postage option available for you. We utilise Australia Post satchels where possible as they represent (for the most part) the most efficient and economical postage option available for shipping within Australia. If however you are located in Victoria or Tasmania, chances are there will be a cheaper postage alternative available to you. We will notify you after the auction has ended what the cheapest postage option for you will be.
We are also more than happy (and prefer) to combine multiple items and purchases made from the same auction.
Once your payment has been received, your item(s) will be sent either that day or the following business day.
We have a FABULOUS relationship with our local Post Office and have received some amazing feedback in regards to the incredibly fast delivery times they have provided. We recently sent some patterns in an envelope from humble little Tasmania, Australia to Texas USA recently which was delivered in 2 DAYS!!!! And YES - we ARE talking about Australia Post!!!
Having said so, we have no control over Australia Post and as such cannot take any responsibility for items lost or delayed in delivery. Registered post and insurance options are recommended and available upon request.
Payment:
Payment methods accepted from Australian Bidders:
- Direct Deposit (preferred). These details will be available on checkout.
- Paypal (also preferred). Simply click on the link in the completed item description or eBay invoice.
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard, American Express and Diners Club). Simply email us with your card details. It is a good idea for security reasons to spread your card details over 2 to 3 separate emails.
- Money order/bank cheque
- Well concealed cash
- Personal cheques are accepted - your item(s) will be shipped once your cheque payment has cleared.
Payment methods accepted from International Bidders:
- Well concealed cash
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Diners Club). Simply email us your card details. We do not have the facilities to accept Discover credit cards, however you can use these cards to pay via Paypal.
- Paypal (preferred). Simply click on the link in the completed item description or eBay invoice.
- Please DO NOT send personal checks, cashiers checks or money orders originating from outside Australia.
All payments are to be received within 10 days of auction end. If you are unable to make payment within this time frame PLEASE make contact with us. We don't bite!!
Feedback:
You will ALWAYS receive positive feedback from us after we have received your payment. As far as we are concerned all a seller requires from a buyer is a timely payment. We do not believe in waiting for the buyer to leave feedback for us before we do the same. Having said so, we don't always post feedback every day, so if you have paid and not yet received your well deserved feedback, please feel free to send us an email saying "Hey there - where's my feedback!!"
If we have not received payment and/or any communication from you within a reasonable period of time, we WILL leave negative feedback, and follow the appropriate eBay procedures to recover our costs. There is a plethora of information regarding this throughout eBay so we'll just leave it at that.
We watch carefully and monitor all bids that have been placed on our items. If your feedback rating is zero because you are a new eBayer - welcome!! We won't discriminate against you because you are new!! HOWEVER, if your feedback rating is negative, or zero due to negative feedback, or if you have an unreasonable percentage of negative feedback, your bid will be cancelled.
The Last Bit:
We pride ourselves in treating our customers exactly how we would like to be treated ourselves very friendly, approachable, efficient, courteous, honest, prompt & accurate. Wee very proud of our feedback rating and will give every endeavour to keep it that way.
To date we have sold to Germany, France, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Japan, Italy, USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland and every state in Australiaand wee looking forward to adding to that list!!
Throughout our eBay journey we have had the absolute joy & pleasure to deal with some of the most wonderful, loyal & generous customers any seller could have the fortune to deal with.
