For the past 11 years I have held a Government Accredited Diploma in Aromatherapy and Reflexology, and a Certificate in Aromatherapy in Pregnancy and Childbirth. I completed my studies at the Australian School of Clinical Aromatherapy in 1997. In 1998 I helped bring my eldest grandchild into the world, using only essential oils and massage...a life changing experience, that proved, both to me and the others involved in the birth, the power of essential oils, not only on the physical body, but also on the mind and the emotions.
After 8 years I decided to extend my skills, so at the end of 2006, I began to make a few natural home and body products. What is really only a hobby, has become so well accepted by family and friends, that they in their turn have encouraged me to broaden my horizons. So in June 2007 'Vanilla Rose' was born. Vanilla Rose is an Australian Registered Business, though a very small one, made up of me, working from home. I make all the candles, sprays, body powders, body butters, liquid soaps, lip balms, herbal sachets, etc. myself, buying my base products and packaging from suppliers throughout Australia, and using only the highest grade products.
Essential oils are very powerful substances, and the use of them in everyday life in Australia is only just beginning, though in many other parts of the world they have been a feature of everyday life for decades, and in some places, centuries and even millenniums.
If you have any queries or questions, please feel free to ask. I am not saying I will be able to answer all you want to know, but I could guide you in the right direction so you can find the knowledge you seek.
