Hi ebayers everywhere,
Just to let you know who I am etc. My name is Andrew Marchant, and my Ebay ID is wickmesh  (more on that later). Away from ebay I am team captain for and driver of the Robot Wars robot Tornado, so there's a chance you might have seen me on the box.

I am a qualified Electroacoustic Engineer (I studied at Salford university) and I earn my living working in Acoustics and Electronics. I mess around with speakers, computers and electronics in my spare time as well. The main thing I look for on ebay is Land Rover related models, but I also often buy bits and pieces for my computers.

So why "Wickmesh" then? Sadly enough, it's my computing handle, and it dates from the first PC I ever bought. It came from an english company called Mesh, whom I believe are still going strong. However, my experience was less than perfect, which led to the use of the "wick" prefix. At the time it was a derivation of the once fashionable word "wicked" but meaning something quite the opposite... My website can tell you more, but only look if you're really bored...

One of my favourite items bought from ebay (in August 2007) was a great little mini keyboard from ebay seller Siliconconnect. I've figured out how to make all (but one) of the keys do something useful (under Windows), and so other buyers can make better use of their keyboards, I made this little page giving you all the information! (AARGH PANIC! I know the link is broken, I will deal with it eventually...)
