ovens. This started at Caringbah, Sydney in 1971 when they converted
a sandwich shop to a wood fired pizza restaurant called “Roberto’s”.
Later in 1974 they started
"Leonardo Da Pizza" in Newcastle. Anyone who has experienced
the flavour of food prepared at "Roberto's" or "Leonard
Da Pizza" will remember the unique taste that a wood fired
oven can impart to food.
Today, Roberto's have made it possible, with patented
design, using 21st century materials, to modernise an ancient method
of cooking ,so that your family and friends can enjoy this delicious
taste and enjoy the ambience that the oven fire creates.
Roberto's Wood Fired Ovens are manufactured in
lightweight refractory cement designed to fit together without the
use of mortar, held together by the design of the individually molded
pieces. The exterior application of an acrylic compound forms a
exoskeleton which makes the entire oven waterproof and attractive.

Q. How easy are they to put together?

Q. What are they made of?
A. "Robertos's" Wood Fired Ovens, are
made up of fifteen separate "modules" of lightweight refractory
concrete, moulded into shapes that fit and lock together, forming
the base, two side walls and the top of the oven. The front wall
incorporates the opening for the metal door.
Q. Do they come fully assembled?
A. No, the "modules" are transported
un-assembled, for ease of transportation, this is great news for
people who may have sites that may be too difficult for an assembled
oven. For example, steep sites or sites with narrow access.
Q. Do we need to provide
anything?
A. The "modules" are assembled onto a
prepared "base" of brickwork, or similar, usually provided
by the owner of the premises. Plans are available from an accredited
Agent, or on our website.
Q. Can we pick the finished
colour?
A. Yes, an exoskeleton of "Flexipoint",
an acrylic compound, is applied to the exterior of the assembled
modules, waterproofing and finishing off in our range of colours,
to be chosen by the owner.
Q. What about the tiles?
A. The "face" of the oven is finished
with tiles, chosen by the owner, from our range of colours.
Q. How do we tell how hot
the oven is?
A. The oven comes complete with a thermometer for
measuring the internal temperature.
Q. What can we cook in a
"Roberto's" oven?
A. Absolutely everything that can be cooked in
a domestic gas or electric oven, And simply by using a steel or
cast-iron "Griddle", (available from your barbeque store),
the oven converts to a barbeque. The thermometer provided allows
you to adjust the temperature inside, simply by "flattening"
or building up the fire.
Q. How safe are they?
A. "Roberto's" Wood Fired Ovens, incorporate
thermal insulation into the moulded modules that make up the shape
and structure of the product. Even after hours of use, the exterior
of the oven, although quite warm, will not be hot enough to burn
anyone that touches it.

How long before investment is returned?
Naturally that depends on sales but you will have the manufacturing capacity to produce one oven every four man hours and enough materials to produce your first 50 oven kits. The moulds themselves are guaranteed to produce 500 ovens minimum. More moulds are always available.
